Peridot


The birthstone for Leo is Peridot but the Zodiac sign also responds to Onyx, Diamond, Carnelian, Sardonyx and Ruby.


Peridot is usually bright green due to its iron content and is considered a sign of the sun and so very lucky in drawing money, health, success and love to ones self. It is also claimed to increase the effectiveness of other medications and treatments.


On the physical aspect, it may also help with:

  • Stings and bites that cause an allergic reaction

  • Asthma

  • Digestive disorders

  • Colin

  • Pancreas

Peridot belong to the SOLAR PLEX and HEART Chakra.


Solar Plex Chakra is located between the navel and the solar plexus which effects power, self-esteem and strength.


If balanced, you feel energy, strength, confidence, strong will, mental balance, health, confidence and active.


If unbalanced, you feel guilty, lack of energy, weakness, allergies, fatigue, low self-esteem, worthlessness, digestion and liver problems.


The Heart Chakra is located in the centre of the chest; also rules chakras in palms of the hands and fingertips and minor thymus chakra in the upper chest. It effects love, acceptance and compassion.


If balanced, you feel loving, empathetic, open-hearted, serenity, emotionally balanced, trustfulness and tolerance.


If unbalanced, you feel loneliness, demanding, critical, jealous, cold-hearted, narcissistic, heart and lung problems, asthma and allergies.


How do you Cleanse and Clean Peridot?


While there are quite a few ways to cleanse peridot, to do so without damaging your jewellery it would be best to use the following techniques:


  • Visualisation: While holding your peridot, visualise the gemstone being cleansed of negative energy and infuse good and positive energy into the gemstone.

  • Full Moon: You can also leave your peridot in the direct moonlight of the full moon to help cleanse negative energy from your gemstone.

To physically clean your peridot jewellery, you can use soapy water to do so and make sure to thoroughly dry them with a non-abrasive cloth to prevent scratching.
